CONNECTING FRONTX INTERNAL CABLES TO CREATIVE SOUNDCARD

The installation guides below are applicable to all Creative soundcards, which include Live and Audigy series. The pin assignments are standard for all Creative cards, but you need to check your soundcard's manual to confirm the availability of these pinouts/headers.

Please note that there are 2 types of microphone pinout on Creative soundcard, i.e. 1x3 pins and 1x4 pins.

Our CPX093-2 works perfectly with both headers. Simply plug the 1x3 connector onto the mic pin-out, orientate the connector in such that the black wire (mic-in) is connected to pin 1. That's it. For 1x4 header, you can leave the 4th pin unconnected.

AUX HEADER: LINE-IN or AUDIO-IN

You can connect our CPX111-2 or CPX092-2 to the AUX header on the Creative card.

You need to change the header connector to 1x4 and connect it to the AUX header in such that; the black wire is connected to pin 1, red wire to pin 4, and the GND wire to either pin 2 or 3.

FRONT PANEL HEADPHONE PORT

Unfortunately our internal headphone cable is not compatible with Creative soundcards. We recommend you to use our external cable CPX090, i.e. the headphone jack is connected to the line-out port located at the back of the PC.

When headphone is plugged on the front panel, your front speakers will be automatically cut off, but you need to manually mute your rear speakers with the soundcard software.
