FRONTX CABLE : connect to internal port of pci card - USB 2.0 or IEEE 1394
Most recently released PCI cards for USB 2.0 / IEEE 1394 (FireWire) come with internal ports which allow you to extend them to the front panel.
Please note that these cards do not use the pin-out (header) connections like those found in motherboards. The female type of connectors (refer picture above) are more commonly used.
With this type of internal port connections, even an inexperienced user can handle it, as you do not have to worry about the pint-out assignments. Simply plug FRONTX connectors into the internal ports, and extend the additional USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394 ports to the front panel easily and economically.
FRONTX CPX101-1 USB Type A and CPX105 IEEE 1394 - 6 Pin are the perfect cables needed to connect to the internal ports of PCI cards. However, please check the card before purchase, and make sure that it has the female type of connectors as shown in the picture above.
