CONNECTING FRONTX INTERNAL CABLES TO CREATIVE SOUNDCARD
The installation guides below are applicable to all Creative soundcards, which include Live and Audigy series. The pin assignments are standard for all Creative cards, but you need to check your soundcard's manual to confirm the availability of these pinouts/headers.
Our CPX105-2 works perfectly with SB 1394 header. Simply plug the 2x5 connector onto the 2x5 pin-out, orientate the connector in such that the blue wire (TPA+) is connected to pin 1. That's it.
Our CPX091-2 works perfectly with the game/midi header of Creative soundcard. Simply plug the 2x8 connector onto the 15 pins pin-out, orientate the connector in such that the red wire (line 1) is connected to pin 1. That's it.
Please note that there are 2 types of microphone pinout on Creative soundcard, i.e. 1x3 pins and 1x4 pins.
Our CPX093-2 works perfectly with both headers. Simply plug the 1x3 connector onto the mic pin-out, orientate the connector in such that the black wire (mic-in) is connected to pin 1. That's it. For 1x4 header, you can leave the 4th pin unconnected.
Unfortunately our internal headphone cable is not compatible with Creative soundcards. We recommend you to use our external cable CPX090, i.e. the headphone jack is connected to the line-out port located at the back of the PC.
When headphone is plugged on the front panel, your front speakers will be automatically cut off, but you need to manually mute your rear speakers with the soundcard software.
